Content Removal & DMCA
Effective 14 July 2026 · Last updated 14 July 2026
1. Non-consensual intimate imagery (TAKE IT DOWN Act)
Consistent with the TAKE IT DOWN Act, if intimate content on FavMe depicts you (or a real, identifiable person) without consent — including AI-generated "deepfakes" — you may request removal. Email [email protected] with the subject "NCII Removal" and include:
- A link to, or clear description of, the content.
- A statement that you are the person depicted (or an authorized representative) and did not consent.
- Your contact information and a good-faith signature (typed name is fine).
On receipt of a valid request we will remove the content, and make reasonable efforts to remove identical copies, within 48 hours. You do not need to identify the uploader.
2. DMCA copyright notice
If you believe content on FavMe infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at [email protected] including the six elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material and its location (URL).
- Your contact information (address, phone, email).
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
3. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected] with the elements required under 17 U.S.C. §512(g).
4. Repeat infringers & other reports
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. To report CSAM or other violations of our Acceptable Use Policy, email [email protected] — we report CSAM to the authorities (including NCMEC where applicable).
